When the throttle valve is fully closed, the idle speed contact IDL should be conducted; when the throttle valve is fully opened or close to fully opened, the full load contact PSW should be conducted; at other openings, the two contacts should not be conducted. Otherwise, adjust or replace the throttle position sensor.

The car engine throttle is manipulated by the driver through the accelerator pedal to change the intake air volume of the engine, thereby controlling the operation of the engine. Different throttle openings indicate different operating conditions of the engine.

In order to make the fuel injection amount meet the requirements of different working conditions, the electronically controlled gasoline injection system is equipped with a throttle position sensor on the throttle body. It can convert the opening of the throttle valve into an electrical signal and send it to the ECU as the basis for the ECU to determine the operating conditions of the engine. The Throttle position sensor has two kinds of switch value output type and linear variable resistance output type.
