1. Find the disassembly hole and remove the rubber cover.
Open the car door with the broken door handle. There is a black round rubber cover on the side of the door corresponding to the handle. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry it off.
2. Remove the lock of the door handle.
After prying off the rubber cover, you can see through the large round hole that there is an external hexagonal screw inside. This screw generally requires a 10mm hex socket + socket wrench to unscrew it. If there is no sleeve, you can use a 10mm open-end wrench to use it vertically, or you can unscrew it, which requires a little effort. In the process of removing the screws, you need two hands to cooperate. Tighten the screw with one hand, hold the lock head with the other hand, and pull the lock head outward while tightening the screw. When you feel that the lock head starts to loosen, tighten the screw at this time. Slow down until the lock can be removed. (Note: The purpose of this is to prevent the screws from being completely screwed out and falling into the door panel, which can only be taken out by removing the door panel.)
3. Remove the old handle
After the lock is removed, pull the old handle toward the lock and then remove it. The severed head folded in the door can be pulled out with your thumb and index finger in a direction that is at a 45° angle to the door panel.
4. Install new handles
When installing, reverse the order of removal. First insert the broken end of the handle into the hole diagonally, and then insert the other end closer to the lock (if it is tight, you need to press it with your hand) until the handle is completely connected to the door panel. After fitting, use your thumb to press the end closest to the lock, and push the handle in the opposite direction to the lock. At this time, you will hear a "click", indicating that it is in place.
5. Install the lock and rubber cover
Press the lock head block into the hole, insert the tool into the large round hole on the side of the door, and tighten the outer hexagonal screws. At this time, the lock head is installed in place. Then, install the rubber cover with the large round hole.
6. Test and the installation is completed.
After the door handle is installed, test the effect by opening and closing it several times to see if there is any lag. If there is no problem, it can be used normally.
