Locations of the top ten sensors in the car, location map of all sensors in the car

Car sensors  are the input devices of the car computer system. They convert various working conditions information during car operation, such as vehicle speed, temperature, tire pressure, oil pressure, engine operating conditions, etc., into electrical signals and transmit them to the car ECU to control The operation of various parts of the car so that the engine is in optimal working condition. There are many automotive sensors, which are located in various parts of the car. The following are the top ten common sensors and their location maps.

1.Air flow sensor

asd (1)

The air flow sensor is installed between the air filter and the intake hose to monitor the amount of air inhaled by the engine, and converts it into an electrical signal to provide to the ECU as a reference signal for fuel injection time;

The ABS sensor is generally located near the tire near the bearing. It is outside the wheel hub bearing and the inner ring of the brake disc. It is used to monitor the vehicle speed. During sudden braking, it feeds back the wheel speed to the braking system, and the braking system controls the controlled rotation of the wheel. To achieve the best braking effect;

The throttle position sensor is installed on the throttle valve and used to detect the opening of the throttle valve.

asd (4)

The intake pressure sensor is generally installed on the intake manifold. It measures the absolute pressure in the intake manifold based on the engine's load state, and converts it into an electrical signal and a rotational speed signal that are sent to the computer to determine the basic fuel injection amount of the injector.

asd (5)

The crankshaft position sensor is generally installed on the side of the crankshaft pulley or sprocket. Some are installed on the front end of the camshaft, and some are installed on the distributor. It is used to detect the top dead center signal, crankshaft angle signal and engine speed signal, and provides it to the ECU to determine ignition. Reference signals for timing, injection timing and working sequence;

asd (6)

The camshaft position sensor is installed close to the camshaft, and if there is a distributor, it is installed on the distributor. It provides a crankshaft angle reference position signal as the main control signal for injection timing control and ignition timing control;

7.Knock sensor

asd (7)

The knock sensor is installed on the cylinder block to detect the knocking condition of the engine and provide the ECU with the signal to adjust the ignition advance angle;

8.Oxygen sensor

asd (8)

The oxygen sensor is generally installed on the exhaust branch pipe to detect the oxygen content in the engine exhaust, determine whether the gasoline and air are completely burned, and perform closed-loop control of the fuel injection amount;

9.Coolant temperature sensor

asd (9)

The coolant temperature sensor, also called the water temperature sensor, is generally installed in the engine block water jacket or coolant pipeline to detect the temperature of the coolant and provide engine temperature information to the ECU.

asd (10)

The oil pressure sensor is installed on the main oil passage of the engine block and is used to detect the oil pressure and send out an alarm signal when the pressure is insufficient.
